4 Wheel Parts Performance Center March Madness Sale - Off Road Events to Boot!

Despite frigid March temperatures, the third annual March Madness Sale at the 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers in Indianapolis, IN drew a
large crowd of die-hard off road fans. Although most people put on a few more layers of clothing than usual, the weather did not
cool the enthusiasm for this year's series of events and sales. In fact, all of the events-including a rock-crawling course, an
RTI ramp, and a Show & Shine-were open to participation by everyone. From the general public and off-road novices to the most hard-
core 4-wheelers, all were welcome to participate in exchange for a small $10 donation to the Camp Reily Children's Program.
The efforts put forth by both the 4 Wheel Parts' employees and members of the Indiana Four Wheel Drive Association combined to make
the day a huge success. Store employees built the rock-crawling course-the only one of its kind currently offered at any of the 4
Wheel Parts stores-by hand, lugging each and every large boulder and hand-placing it to form the unique, 60-foot course.
Scott Sperling - IFWDA President, James and Becky Stewart - IFWDA United Delegates, Max Soliday - IFWDA PR Director, Mike Devore -
4 Wheel Parts store GM, and many other employees and volunteers were on hand to handle event registration, course marshalling,
and other tasks to make the event go smoothly. A combined effort with 4 Wheel Parts Wholesales, the Texas Roadhouse and Bluegrass Food
Services (Louisville, KY) provided free hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, sodas and much more to anyone
with a grumbling stomach, all of which was cooked in an old Jeep-B-Q cooking apparatus, which was once used to deliver U.S. mail.
A parade of Jeeps, Broncos, Land Cruisers, and others took advantage of the rock-crawling course and RTI ramp to show off their
flexibility and off-road prowess, as well as demonstrate some of their new modifications, including hydraulic steering, custom
multi-link suspension, drive train modifications, and more. While there was no real carnage to speak of, one 4-wheeler - who
wished to remain anonymous -suffered from a 3" hole in the side of his transmission's bellhousing because a socket was left
inside when modifications were made. A few ticking sounds were heard, and then a deafening "CRACK!" as the socket was flung
through the side of the transmission. Fortunately, the damage did not prevent him from continuing to compete the rest of
the afternoon.
The Indiana Four Wheel Drive Association and 4 Wheel Parts Performance Center put on winning event that even we competed in. We
couldn't pass up the RTI ramp - we scored a 742 on the 30 degree RTI - thank you very much. Despite the arctic temperatures, the
exhibition went off smoothly, and hundreds of people enjoyed it.
