Hey everyone, I am Nick and this is my 05 Taco; with the installation of The Skyjacker’s Softride Platinum suspension system. I’ve been running this lift for about 2 months now and absolutely love it, I have had no problems with binding or anything. All the guys (and gals) at Eastern Truck and Accessories were great, Mitch really knew all the ins and outs with this install and from talking with him I can tell he knows a lot more too.

[banger]Drop me a note if you have any questions about the installation or the performance of the suspension system and I’ll be happy to answer them.

Thanks Nick

How does it ride on the street? Also, does it articulate well off road (especially the front suspension)?

thanks, Jason

For the most part, the truck retains the factory ride with the lift. I was expecting to notice a difference but I did not at first. You can tell the front is a bit tighter that stock on turns, on ramps, speed bumps etc.. but it seems to be for the good to me. Around town and on the highway the truck rides great. I have not really given the truck a twisted articulation test. I have mainly owned straight axle 4x4's. I took the Taco (stock) for some small ditch and stump wheeling it had a different feel, than what I was used too, it seemed that the rear did most of the work. That will just take some getting use to by me. From the measurements before and after the lift the full drop is pretty much the same as stock. The coils do have more shock area for compresion with the lift. I have been having a hard time finding some wheels that I like that are still 16's. The main reason its hard is because I do not want to run what everybody else is. When I get some wheels (or finally decide what to go with)and my new tires (going to see how 285's fit) I will do some wheeling and take some more pics and post them up for you. Thanks Nick Let me know if you have any other questions.

AVS (auto vent shade) covers I think they are called Euro style. I got them on eBay.

Beautiful Truck, I am looking to put a little lift on my truck, i have an 05' trd sport prerunner 2wd and i need some direction. I spoke with a gentleman that said he could install a Day Star Kit? which would be 2.5 inches on the front and 1.5 on the rear. I mainly want this lift for show and to get some bigger rims and tires as well. I love to put my headlights right up against those gangster cars with the big chrome wheels. It makes my day. For that Day Star kit he said i could walk away paying 731. is this name brand and will it last. The second one he suggested was a Rev. Tech. kit for 950. Like i said, i am new to this so i need some direction. Oh and i know the gentleman above me asked about the headlights, but did you buy them whole, or was is just a kit that you had to do yourself? Thanks again. Thanks again.

the head lights are the Auto Vent Shade Covers That seems high for the lift at first glance, do you know how much he is charging for the lift itself? My neighbor bought the same lift that I have, I think it was less than $700 and a shop down the round put it on for $300 or $400. If I remember correctly the rev tech is around $325 so I would think $625 for the install would be steep. The install for my lift would have been around $300 so I would shop around a bit more. I am not sure of how many 4x4 shops you have in town but aask so other 4x4's where they go. Let me know if you need anything else. Nick
