Like our old forums, our new forums can be configured by you to automatically email you when someone replies to a a Forum, or a Topic that you are interested in. It's easy to do too!

First, let me explain the difference between a forum and a topic... A Forum lives inside a forum group. An example of a forum group = "Vehicle Tech Talk Area". An example of a Forum that lives inside of that group = "Chevy & GMC". As far as a topic goes, topics are simply the conversations that live inside forums.

OK, back to the whole subscription thing... On our old forums, you used to be able to subscribe to the entire forum (all of the groups and topics). In order to limit the sheer volume of emails being sent to everyone, we've set up these forums so that you can subscribe to forum groups, or just topics. Here's how you do it...

Forum Subscription - See the first picture below
When you're inside a given forum, you'll see a check box near the top that reads "Email me when someone posts to this forum." Simply check this box, and you'll automatically receive emails when someone replies or posts to this forum.

Topic Subscription - See the second picture below
When you're inside a given topic, you'll see a check box near the top that reads "Email me when someone replies to this thread." Simply check this box, and you'll automatically receive emails when someone replies or posts to this forum.

That's it... you're all done!
