2006 SEMA Show - Las Vegas, NV

06 SEMA Expo

06 SEMA Expo Slot machines, showgirls, drive through wedding chapels, all you can eat buffets, and the shattered hopes and dreams of suckers from around the world… Las Vegas at its finest.

Every year the city of Las Vegas also plays host to Auto Week, and the world famous SEMA show. The fit is perfect; SEMA is to the automotive aftermarket what Las Vegas is to gambling. This year the crew at 4x4Review packed our bags and spent a few days slaving away at the SEMA show to bring you the latest and greatest products the 4-wheel drive market has to offer.

And, just in case you're interested, we happen to have some pictures of those oh-so beautiful SEMA models right here.

Bedrug- http://www.bedrug.com
We love this product, every truck in our fleet is graced with a Bedrug out back. The guys from Bedrug had a unique display on hand that included an acid test! Yup that's right they actually put acid on the sample of Bedrug material and the competitors material and you can geuss who won. They also had one of the companies ditch diggers on hand to prove just how tough the Bedrug really is.

Toyota- www.toyota.com
We tried to talk the boss into giving up on his FJ-40 rockcrawler and building one of these (first picture), but he's whined about ground clearance or something like that - weenie! Toyota was also on hand showing off some of their latest and greatest creation in characteristic SEMA fashion. Attendees could see their latest vehicles, some unique custom Toyotas and even their off-road racing trucks too

Dynatrac- www.dynatrac.com
Dynatrac made their first ever SEMA appearance to show off some of their latest innovations. Two products filled the limelight, Dynatrac's new stub hub. An innovative new wheel hub assembly for the Dana 60 that is substantially shorter than the standard Dana offering. This is a real bonus for guys running narrow wheels, or little offset. They also had their new locking hub in display that is substantially stronger than the competition. Of course they also had the awe inspiring Pro-rock 60 on display as well.

Twisted Customs - www.twistedcustoms.biz
What can I say, did anyone actually think I would be around all these awesome custom rigs, and not find a way to get in a little wheeling. I huge thanks goes out to the Brian Errea at Twisted Customs for giving me a great ride in their state of the art LS1 powered buggy. These guys never fail to impress, they're creations are truly twisted

Skyjacker - www.skyjacker.com
Skyjacker had the new lift kit for the JK on display and just for good measure, they threw in some smoke and mirrors! Of course the quality of design and strength of Skyjackers products needs neither. They also displayed their new rock lock sway bar that utilizes a locking hub to select the on or off road setting.
